Field Flow Fractionation Equipment

RSS
Flow Field-Flow Fractionation is a series of methods designed to separate out various materials in a solution or suspension by applying a ‘field’ to the medium. Fluid flows, centrifugal forces, temperature gradients, and gravity are all examples of the kind of fields that can be applied to achieve fractionation. Using these fields, various separations can be achieved with different resolutions or particle size ranges. Typically, resolution or size range can be determined by controls on Flow Field-Flow Fractionation equipment. Proteins, liposomes, viral particles, nanoparticles, colloidal soil suspensions and polishing slurries can all be segregated and characterized using Flow Field-Flow Fractionation equipment.
