Testing of Torsion Springs using Mecmesin Vortex-i Test System

This video shows the testing of torsion springs using the Mecmesin Vortex-i computer controlled torque testing system to find the pre-defined torque. The custom-designed individual two-part mandrels are used to hold the torsion springs securely. The Vortex-i is driven by the Mecmesin Emperor torque software. This gives immediate indication of “Pass” or “Fail” for each type and size of the torsion spring.

The Vortex-i and Emperor software has been superseded by the VortexPro automated torque tester and VectorPro software.

Run Time – 3:51 minutes.
