The 8th edition of AMI's Pipeline Coating Conference will take place at the Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen in Vienna, Austria from 16-18 February 2016.
In some regions of the world, aging pipelines are increasingly in need of rehabilitation and replacement. New pipelines are frequently being installed in locations with harsh environmental conditions: extreme temperatures, underwater depths, rocky or unstable soil, etc.
In addition, high operating temperatures and pressures are becoming increasingly common, while transported fluids are often more corrosive and/or abrasive. As a result, performance and reliability requirements are becoming more and more demanding, boosting the role of innovation and technology.
The current challenging business environment places additional stress on suppliers and makes differentiation even more necessary in order to achieve commercial success.
The 2016 conference will start with a market review by AMI; the programme will then include end-use perspectives on how to maximise coating’s functionality and performance with papers from ExxonMobil Development Co. and N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie; finally, coaters and raw material manufacturers will present novel developments in materials, systems and quality assurance.
Among the case studies that will be analysed at the conference is the Middle East’s first carbon capture and storage pipeline, which will be presented by Borouge Pte Ltd.
With a truly international participation covering the entire supply chain, Pipeline Coating 2016 offers unmatched opportunities to network, exchange experience and learn through interaction with colleagues, suppliers, customers and competitors.
The conference has support from Shawcor, Valspar, Selmers, Jotun, Hempel, 3M, Denso, Viscotaq, Bayouvasco, Akzonobel and Tial. Pipeline Coating 2016 also offers superb and cost-effective networking opportunities with its extensive table top exhibition area.
The event regularly attracts over 250 participants and is an ideal place to make essential connections in the industry. The conference sessions will be held in English and simultaneously translated into Russian.
