FLIR offers a unique family of cameras that convert energy from the infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum into visible light images that the human eye can see. FLIR OEM products enable imaging in the three primary infrared wavebands:
- Long Wavelength Infrared (LWIR), 8.0-14.0 microns;
- Mid Wavelength Infrared (MWIR), typically 3.0-5.0 microns, but can cover 1.0-5.4 microns with suitable filtering;
- Short Wavelength Infrared (SWIR), 900 nm to 1700 nm, or 700 nm to 1700 nm (optional).
FLIR’s OEM cameras are available in image formats up to VGA (640x512), and share a common electrical and control interface for simple operation, including USB for power and control.
LWIR Camera Cores
FLIR’s long wavelength uncooled camera products include Tau 2 and the newer Boson. Besides their exceptional ruggedness and reliability, the size, weight, and low power (SWaP) characteristics of FLIR’s LWIR cameras make them the leading choice of integrators. Security, surveillance, drone payload cameras, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are just a few of the many applications.
MWIR Camera Cores
Neutrino is available in a variety of cold filter and f/number options for midwave infrared (MWIR) applications between 1.0-5.4 microns. Neutrino’s excellent sensitivity and adjustable exposure time allows the use of optics in the f/4 to f/6 range, which enables long-range imaging while minimizing overall system size, weight, and cost.
SWIR Camera Cores
Tau SWIR delivers superior shortwave infrared imaging performance. Energy in these bands is reflected light, not thermal. SWIR applications include camouflage detection, art examination for authenticity, identification of bruises in produce, solar panel inspections, and more.
Components
FLIR’s product offerings include standard readout integrated circuits, focal plane arrays, and packaged sensor assemblies. Custom Readout IC design services may be available to selected customers for specialized applications.
Pan / Tilt Systems
FLIR offers a complete line of high performance pan/tilt devices for real-time, computer-controlled positioning of virtually any payload including thermal cameras, video cameras, IP cameras, laser rangefinders, and microwave antennas.
FLIR is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of sensor systems that enhance perception and awareness for a wide variety of users in the commercial, industrial, and government markets, worldwide.
