The physical and chemical properties of Gold Nanorods are outlined in the following. Gold nanorods are shipped in 18MΩ DI water with < 0.1% ascorbic acid and < 0.1% CTAB surfactant capping agent.
Storage of Gold Nanorods
Gold nanorods should be stored at 4°C and should not be frozen. Do not store for longer than six months. CTAB may cause a cloudy appearance at low temperatures. To resuspend excess CTAB, warm to room temperature before use. Bottles need to be homogenized after long storage periods to resuspend any sedimentation, especially for larger nanorods.
