Can you tell me about your company and why you're at NPE?

Universal Chillers manufactures chillers are primarily designed for the plastic industry but have been adapted to many other fields as well.

What products are you highlighting at this show?

Our new line of chillers is newly designated as UL certified, so it's certified to use anywhere in the United States for any kind of construction, new construction, retrofit, anything, almost any purpose around you can think of a chiller going into.

How do you differ from your competitors?

There's no real secrets in the chiller business. We sell a quality machine at a fair price.

What other industries outside of the plastic industry do you serve?

One of our chillers is in a company that makes nuts. We are in tire grinding. We have them in several different liquor manufacturing operations. We have them in wineries, breweries and a couple liquor outfits. We have them in a company that makes rifle barrels. Tire shredders, ice cream and dairy.

It really is a universal unit. Whoever came up with the name was a genius. It really does fit every single industry. You don't even know when you are going to need a chiller. We have some automotive people who use it all the time.

What we do is we will help our customers to configure the chiller to meet their needs. We can figure out piping stuff. We had a company in Erie, Pennsylvania, who makes the powder for powder-coat painting. Nobody could figure out how to set a system up because you need bursts of cold air at specific times. We designed a system that would give him just what he needed. Nobody else could figure it out. We took the time to get what he needed for him.
