Please tell us about the company and why you are at ACHEMA this week.
Flow-Mon has been in existence since 1971, and this is our third time to ACHEMA.
We manufacture sight indicators, flow switches, and flow monitors. We probably export about 80% of our products, and so we've come here today to see some of our distributors as well as our customers.
What products are you showcasing?
We have four ranges of our products here, so some sight indicators and some rising balls and spinners, which are simple visual indicators.
We have our normal flow-monitor ranges, which have a micro-switch inside and a 4-20 milliamp output. We also have some turbine meters.
What makes your products unique on the market?
Our products are very robust – we are very safe, secure, and reliable.
Our products have a simple principle, and so the engineers can rely on them to work. People buy them because their accuracy is about plus or minus 3%, but even though the accuracy isn't like some of the other flow meters, they are really repeatable and reliable.
They last a long time, and they do the job that they're made for.
What would you like to get out of the conference this week?
We're happy to try and find new distributors in different countries, but we're also coming here to see what other people are doing - to see what we need to do for our products going forward. Do we need to change them, do we need to modernize them, or do we keep doing what we're doing? It's an opportunity first to look at our competitors.
