IDTechEx Show! 2019 Highlights Emerging Technologies

From the 10th to 11th of April, Berlin will host the 2019 IDTechEx Show!. Emerging technologies will be showcased at eight conferences and one exhibition, involving multiple subject areas; including 3D printing, electric vehicles, wearable technology, and more.

Devised by analysts, the event allows attendees and exhibitors to experience engagement from a full range of relevant supply chains and customer bases; putting all of the best and newest innovations together under one roof. Attendees can also benefit from one-to-one advice from technical and business analysts, and they will see live demonstrations of new products from early-stage companies.

IDTechEx Show! is expecting over 200 exhibitors to take part in their 2019 event and approximately 2500 visitors are set to attend. Speakers include Altran, Airbus, Bosch, Daimler, Microsoft, Google, NREL, and Beko.

Some highlights from a selection of speakers include:

  • Demands and Opportunities in the Tech-Fashion Industry with speaker Dr. Kitty Yeung (Microsoft)
    Designers are beginning to include both functional and decorative electronics in clothes, thanks to the advancement of open-source hardware. Yeung will be addressing gaps in tech-fashion and the opportunities and challenges in the industry, and how technology can revolutionize the traditional fashion industry.

  • Applications for Printed Electronics in the Aviation Industry with speakers Mr. Max Seissler (Altran) and Mr. Dennis Hahn (Airbus)
    Seissler and Hahn will cover the integration of printed electronics in aviation, and what requirements will be needed to see this innovation become a reality. Hahn is project leader for the research project “Printed Electrics,” which is a collaboration between Altran and Airbus Operations GmbH. Together they aim to bring the world’s first printed electronics into aircraft cabins.

  • Novel Solar Solutions for the Smart City with speaker Dr. Oliver Lang (SEG Sonnenrepublik Energie GmbH)
    Dr. Oliver Lang heads a talk featuring a new “professional parasol” for restaurants, hotels, and outdoor spaces. Dubbed the Solar Parasol, the new technology is an “Energy Island” that will feature a WiFi router, e-bike charging ports, and other power supply outlets including lighting and audio outputs for use in smart city and e-mobility concepts.
