Nanophase Technologies Corp have announced the availability of silver doped nanocrystalline tin oxide. The nanoparticulate doped tin oxide particles are approximately 30nm in diameter and contain 3wt% silver. They are now available in pilot sized quantities.

The silver doped tin oxide material is suited to industrial antimicrobial applications such as wood preservation, marine antifouling, specialty paints and coatings, plastic and rubber additives, conductive coatings and electronic materials. The antimicrobial applications encompass both industrial and personal care.

The nanoparticles are non-porous, dense, discrete homogeneous particles.
