Related Stories

PTL's image analysis services allow the client to understand the morphological shape characteristics of the sample. Simple photomicrographs to complete particle size distributions from images can be provided.

Distribution analysis by size/shape (Number, Volume, Length, Width, Aspect Ration, Roundness/Sphericity).

Image Analysis Instrumentation Available

PTL has the following image analysis equipment available:

  • Image-Pro Plus
  • Clemex
  • Malvern PharmaVision

Photomicroscopy

Basic morphology and size of particles illustrated through photographs. Typically for particles greater than 1µm.

Scanning Electron Microscopy

Basic morphology of particles too small to be analyzed with light microscope.
