Today’s engineers are faced with the need to develop filters that satisfy increasingly harsh operating conditions and simple processing requirements. Master Bond has recently introduced an advanced line of compounds for the range of bonding applications in the assembly of filters. This line includes adhesive technologies meant to handle applications ranging from filter media sealing to end cap potting and general filter assembly.
Chemical and Temperature Resistance
Master Bond’s one and two part epoxies are specially formulated for performance in a range of operating conditions. Master Bond filter assembly adhesives possess superior chemical resistance and heat resistance for those applications in constant exposure to abrasives and high heat. Formulations are available that have excellent long-term resistance to gasoline, kerosene, alcohols, and other fuels and lubricants. They also offer outstanding resistance to crude oils and its derivatives, natural gas and gaseous fuels. Special grades offer high dimensional stability, superior abrasion resistance, underwater curing capability, and exceptional adhesion to steel, aluminum alloys, copper, and other metals.
High Reliability and Performance
Master Bond's systems are designed to offer superior quality and long-term durability. They have earned a well-deserved reputation for their performance upon exposure to hostile environmental conditions. Select from a wide range of systems conveniently packaged for ease of use. These compounds are available in different viscosities, cure times, chemical resistances, electrical properties, colors, etc. to best meet specific requirements. They are presently employed in applications ranging from design and production to repair, maintenance and field service.

Master Bond Polymer System Supreme 10HT for Filter Applications
Master Bond Polymer System Supreme 10HT features a unique blend of performance properties for filter applications, including both high shear and peel strengths and is a convenient non-drip system. This one component system is formulated to cure at elevated temperatures, e.g. 1 hour at 250°F, shorter times at higher temperatures. Tensile shear strengths in excess of 3,600 psi and T-peel strengths in excess of 30 pli are readily obtained.
Master Bond Supreme 10HT forms high-strength bonds for service over the remarkably wide temperature range of -320°F to over 400°F. In fact, it has been used successfully in cryogenic applications down to 4K. As a toughened system, it offers superior resistance to impact, thermal shock, vibration and stress fatigue cracking while maintaining the moisture, creep, corrosion and thermal resistance typical of epoxy resins. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any diluents or solvents.
Master Bond Polymer System Supreme 10HT is remarkably resistant to severe thermal cycling and many chemicals including water, oil, fuels and most organic solvents even upon prolonged exposures. Adhesion to metals, glass, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics is excellent. The cured epoxy is a superior electrical insulator.
