Master Bond EP13 combines strength and heat resistance into an easy to use, one part system. As a single component system, its working life is indefinite at room temperature and it does not require any mixing prior to use. This system is formulated to cure readily in just 60-90 minutes at temperatures from 300-350°F.
EP13 is a paste and can be conveniently applied with a spatula, knife, trowel, and brush or paint roller, even to vertical surfaces without sagging or dripping. EP13 forms rigid and dimensionally stable bonds that readily attain tensile shear strengths in excess of 3,500 psi. It also possesses high compressive strength and is readily machinable.
Since EP13 is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents, shrinkage upon cure is minimal. EP13 is an excellent electrical insulator. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics. This system has excellent resistance to chemicals including fuels, acids, bases, oils and many solvents. The standard color is gray and it has a service temperature range of -60°F to 450°F.
