Non-Drip Epoxy System To Meet NASA Low Outgassing Specifications

Master Bond EP21ND-LO is an exceptionally versatile system that passes NASA low outgassing specifications as per ASTM E595. This two component epoxy system cures at room temperature, but to optimize its properties, the best cure schedule for this system is 12-24 hours at room temperature, plus another 2 hours at 150-200°F.

Master Bond EP21ND-LO

Featuring superb physical properties, EP21ND-LO is ideal for bonding, sealing and coating similar and dissimilar substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, wood, rubber and many plastics. It produces high-strength, durable bonds that offer tensile strengths of over 7,500 psi and compressive strengths exceeding 10,000 psi at room temperature. These bonds also hold up well to rigorous thermal cycling over the wide temperature range of -60°F to +250°F. This system resists many chemicals including water, oils, fuels, acids, bases and salts. Once cured, EP21ND-LO is an excellent electrical insulator.

“Recently, I recommended this product for an application where vacuum compatibility and low outgassing were necessary. The customer was using a two component system with a very difficult mix ratio and extremely low viscosity. It was difficult to restrict the flow of this system during application and cure. EP21ND-LO was a great fit here due to its 1:1 convenient mix ratio. Also, being a paste, it stayed at its place during application and cure. EP21ND-LO was a great success in their application.” Venkat Nandivada, Master Bond Technical Advisor.
