Adhesives to Meet NASA Low Outgassing Tests - EP21TCHT-1

Two part epoxy adhesive system EP21TCHT-1 cures at room temperature or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. It has a 100 to 60 mix ratio by weight and a working life after mixing of 30-60 minutes for a 100 gram batch. This thixotropic paste is easy to apply and can be serviceable from 4k to +400°F. This formulation is 100% reactive and contains no solvents or diluents.

Master Bond EP21TCHT-1 features excellent thermal conductivity and electrical insulation properties. It has a thermal conductivity of 10 BTU/in/ft2/hr/°F and a volume resistivity of 1012 ohm-cm. Additionally, EP21TCHT-1 has a high bond strength to metals, glass, ceramics, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics. Its thermal expansion coefficient is remarkably low.

EP21TCHT-1 can withstand exposure to thermal cycling. Bonds are tough and durable. It has exceptional resistance to many chemicals and water. As a NASA qualified system, it is ideal for high vacuum type applications.

This product has a Shore D hardness > 80 and a tensile strength of > 7,000 psi. Its tensile modulus is > 450,000 psi. It is available for use in ½ pint, pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon kit containers. Special packaging options include premixed and frozen syringes.
