Permanently bonding porous substrates can be a very difficult task. With the use of adhesive primers and promoters, this daunting task can be achieved quickly and easily. The main purpose of adhesive primers and promoters is to enhance the bond strengths to acrylics, ABS, polycarbonates, PPOs, polysulfones, polyesters, styrenics and rigid PVCs. After applying a primer or promoter to the substrate surface the compound is heavily absorbed into the substrate ultimately creating a new surface for the adhesive to bond to. Application should be made to freshly cleaned surfaces, free of dirt, grease and other contaminants to ensure outstanding results.
