Introduction
UNS 11400 silver-bearing tough pitch copper has ductility, anneal resistance, and conductivity of 101% IACS. The following datasheet will discuss in detail about UNS 11400 copper.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment
Machinability
The machinability rate of 11400 copper is 20%.
Welding
Welding techniques such as soldering, brazing, gas shielded arc welding, oxyacetylene welding and butt welding are preferred for 11400 copper. Other welding techniques such as coated metal arc welding, spot welding and seam welding are not recommended.
Forging
Forging of 11400 copper is performed at hot working temperatures ranging from 760 to 871°C (1400 to 1600°F). The hot forgeability rate of this metal is 65%.
Hot Working
11400 copper has excellent hot working property.
Cold Working
11400 copper has excellent cold working property.
Annealing
11400 copper is annealed at temperatures ranging from 482 to 760°C (900 to 1400°F).
