Fabrication and Heat Treatment
Welding
Welding processes such as soldering, brazing, and butt welding are suitable for UNS C15760 copper. Oxyacetylene welding, gas shielded arc welding, coated metal arc welding, spot welding, and seam welding are not suited for this copper alloy.
Hot Working
UNS C15760 copper cannot be hot formed in its wrought form.
Cold Working
UNS C15760 copper has excellent cold working properties.
Annealing
The annealing temperature of UNS C15760 copper is between 649 and 982°C (1200 and 1800°F).
Applications
UNS C15760 copper is mainly used for RWMA Class III welding caps.
