Introduction
Alloy steels are designated by AISI four-digit numbers. The first two digits represent the main alloying elements, and the last two digits indicate the carbon content present in the alloy in hundredth of a percent. They contain a wide variety of steels having compositions which exceed the limitations of Mn, C, Mo, Si, Ni, Va, and B set for carbon steels.
The following datasheet gives an overview of AISI 1335 alloy steel.
