Description
Europium sulfide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula EuS. It crystallizes in face-centered cubic crystal lattice. It acts as a ferromagnetic compound below 16.6 K. Europium sulfide exhibits simple paramagnetic properties above this temperature. It is stable in air up to 500°C, and begins to decompose at 1470°C in an inert environment.
