Introduction
Copper mining has been in progress for more than 10,000 years. It is found in the minerals malachite, azurite, cuprite, chalcopyrite and bornite. Large deposits of copper ore are located in Chile, Peru, Zaire, Zambia, and Canada and the United States.
Copper UNS C19700 is a high copper alloy. Copper UNS C19700 possesses good corrosion resistance in natural, marine, and industrial atmosphere. It is resistant to stress corrosion cracking.

Fabrication
Welding - Soldering and brazing of copper UNS C19700 is rated as excellent. Gas shielded arc welding is rated as excellent. This alloy can also be welding using laser and resistance welding techniques.
Cold and Hot Working – This alloy possesses excellent capacity for both cold and hot forming.
Applications
Copper UNS C19700 is basically suited for applications requiring excellent formability coupled with high strength and conductivity.
