Introduction

Copper UNS C51900 is a phosphor bronze wrought alloy. Copper UNS C51900 alloy is resistant to seawater and industrial atmosphere. It is also resistant to stress corrosion cracking. It has an excellent combination of strength and electrical conductivity.

Machinability - The machinability of copper UNS C51900 alloy is rated at 20.

Welding - Soldering and butt welding are considered excellent welding options for this alloy. Gas arc shielding, laser welding, and spot welding are rated as good while oxyacetylene welding is rated fair. Coated metal arc welding and seam welding methods should be avoided.

Hot working - Copper UNS C51900 alloy has excellent hot working abilities.

Cold working - Copper UNS C51900 alloy has excellent cold working properties.
