High Brightness Deuterium Lamp for Analytical Instruments – X2D2

Hamamatsu’s X2D2® lamp is a high brightness deuterium lamp, designed to achieve high throughput and high resolution. The lamp is two times higher than that of traditional deuterium lamps (F 0.5 mm aperture size).

Power Supply

A highly stable light output is needed for applications using the X2D2® lamp, so it is reccomended that the lamp is operated utilizing the Hamamatsu dedicated power supply. A constant-voltage circuit and a constant-current circuit are used by Hamamatsu’s dedicated power supplies to provide a reliable and stable lamp ignition.

Two versions of power supplies are available: 24 VDC input type M9521 and AC input (100 to 240 V) type C9559. Customers can choose power supplies that suit their specific application needs.

Lamp Housings

Lamp housings have been specifically designed for the Hamamatsu X2D2® lamps. They are compact and low cost, yet work as efficient heat radiator housings to enable a consistent operation of the X2D2® lamp. The mounting and window surface of these lamp housings are finish-machined and feature tapped holes that make it easier to install them in the system.

The lamp housings are suitable for designing photometric systems that utilize the X2D2® lamps. E9558-50 lamp housing is provided for L9519, and E9522-50 lamp housing for L9518.
