Mid-Mountain Materials, Inc. has been one of the top suppliers of precision coated fabrics and coated textiles for more than 35 years. The company’s advanced, high-performance coated fabrics and industrial coated textiles are used in many applications across a wide range of industries, and can be die-cut, fabricated, or provided as rolled goods.
Utilizing a few of the most advanced fibers, specialized weaves, and a range of blends and coatings, Mid-Mountain Materials line of ARMATEX® Coated Fabrics and Textiles deliver not only better heat protection but have excellent durability and resistance to abrasion and chemicals.
Mid-Mountain started coating fabrics and textiles for industrial applications including insulation fabrics, welding fabrics, and thermal insulation barriers. Many of the company’s standard products are used in industries such as aerospace, aluminum, petrochemical, welding, insulation, and automotive, and comprise of silicone/fiberglass and silicone/silica combinations. Innovative engineering and working diligently with customers yielded more high-performance coated fabrics, giving the company the unique ability to meet the demands of a broad customer base.
Now, their specialty coated fabrics are used in technical applications such as air cargo covers, airbags, fabric for the manufacture of chemical suits and fire-fighting apparel, robotic protection covers, and temporary wilderness shelters. Besides fiberglass and silica substrates, they utilize specialty fabrics including Kevlar®, nylon, Nomex®, carbon, and aramid blends, and coat with a range of high-temperature, chemical, and abrasion resistant coatings.
Their textiles coating is not restricted to fabrics. Mid-Mountain has the capability to coat a range of textiles including bolt-hole tape, tadpole tape, round and square braided rope, woven tape, and knit rope.
A number of Mid-Mountain’s standard coated textiles can be manufactured in accordance with a range of specifications including ASTM E84, ASTM E162, FAR 25.855, and MIL-PRF-20696F. the company also offers several coated and uncoated fabrics that are ANSI/FM 4950 approved.
