MINIVAP VP Vision is a portable, highly multifaceted vapor pressure tester with a pressure range of 0–2000 kPa and top-rated precision. It is the first-ever analyzer to exhibit engineering excellence by obtaining certificates for durability and robustness. The device is based on Grabner’s state-of-the-art Cockpit™ technology, allows worldwide access to analyzers, and provides unrivaled networking capabilities.
Engineered for Excellence
MINIVAP VP Vision measures gasoline, crude oil, jet fuel, solvents, and LPG. The analyzer offers a broad pressure range of 0–2000 kPa, without compromising accuracy. An unparalleled repeatability of <0.2 kPa has been demonstrated for long-term testing. The accurate piston positioning and the recently developed Grabner 2D-Correction™ (273 points) ensure that precise and accurate results are obtained over the complete measuring range. MINIVAP VP Vision is integrated with Grabner’s Sampling Pro™ valve design, which has proved to be the top-rated piston-based design for reducing cross-contamination between different types of samples at the time of ruggedness tests.
Flexibility and Simplicity
The MINIVAP VP Vision blends flexibility with ease of use in a distinctive manner. A sophisticated, app-like user interface renders it straightforward to directly select, start, and follow measurements on the industry-recognized 10″ touch screen. Measuring templates can be formed and tailored techniques can be added in just a few clicks. Moreover, Grabner’s Cockpit™ PC software provides lab managers with the maximum possible flexibility and integrates measurement results from various locations.
Access, Anywhere, Anytime
The Cockpit™ PC software enables multiple instruments to be automatically recognized and allows devices across the globe to be configured, diagnosed, monitored, upgraded, and serviced from a single central lab. A secure VPN tunnel can be used for accessing the software, thereby enabling true mobile access to devices from any place at any time. A specialized call home function enables easy uplink to Grabner’s well-trained support team.
Robustness and Durability
The MINIVAP VP Vision is the first-ever vapor pressure tester certified to operate in hot, cold, and damp heat conditions. It has exhibited the potential to endure vibrations and heavy shocks arising from any direction. This instrument is perfect for use in military applications, in mobile laboratories, or in severe environments.
Most Comprehensive, Most Multifaceted
MINIVAP VP Vision is completely configured to implement all major vapor pressure techniques. Each analyzer is equipped with a shaker that offers rapid equilibrium for V/L ratio and crude oil tests.
Highest Accuracy–Lowest Limit: Low Volatility Model MINIVAP VPL Vision Product/Small/MINIVAP VPL Vision
Although the standard VP model is developed to withstand pressures of up to 20 bar, certain applications necessitate increased measurement sensitivity for samples with extremely low volatility, such as the measurement of oils, diesel, or fragrances and flavors. The MINIVAP VPL Vision model has been developed to carry out low-volatility measurements of up to 150 kPa (21.8 psi). For low-volatile samples, it exhibits measuring repeatability better than 0.1 kPa.
Direct/Indirect Determination of the Absolute Vapor Pressure (“VOC-Methods”)
The model MINIVAP VPL Vision was designed for the automation of the manual ASTM D2879 Standard Test Method for Vapor Pressure by Isoteniscope for low-volatile samples, which is employed in the chemical industry. The instrument is integrated with a direct and an extrapolated “VOC” technique for measuring the absolute vapor pressure of single- and multi-component samples.
The direct “VOC” technique is a static technique for measuring the absolute vapor pressure needed for safety data sheets. The indirect technique additionally enables extrapolation to extremely low pressures or to temperatures surpassing the instruments temperature range (−100 °C to +300 °C). Although the results yielded by both the techniques are comparable to the static ASTM D2879 Isoteniscope method, they do not necessitate sample evacuation before testing. Air/gases are automatically removed from the measurement result and the composition of the sample is preserved during measurements based on the GRABNER Triple Expansion Method.
“VOC” techniques are available in both the MINIVAP VPL and the VP Vision analyzer. The accuracy of the VPL Vision is considerably better in the pressure range of 0.1–30 kPa due to the better sensitivity for low-volatile samples.
