Whitehouse Scientific’s printable eBrochure describing the company’s range of calibration standards and services is now arranged in separately downloadable sections. In addition there is the option to download the complete pricelist in one document.
Standards are organised in the categories: polydisperse, monodisperse, image analysis, sieve calibration, general use glass microspheres and general use basalt microspheres. A separate section covers services such as filter cutpoint determination.
2008 sees the completion of 25 highly successful years of research and development at Whitehouse Scientific. The company was founded by Dr Graham Rideal after leaving ICI as a senior research scientist, where he headed a large team embarked on pioneer work in the field of Nanotechnology. His fundamental studies of Angstrom sized mineral platelets highlighted the need for improved measurement techniques and calibration standards for these ultra-fine materials.
Whitehouse Scientific now manufactures one of the largest ranges of glass calibration microspheres available today, covering sizes from millimetres to nanometres. A unique feature of the particle size standards is that they are packaged as dry samples for ‘single shot’ analysis so minimising operator sub-sampling errors.
More than 1 million single shot bottles have now been produced.
