Advanced Materials Take on World Cup

Bayer and Adidas have teamed up to use advanced materials to produce the latest revolution in soccer balls for use in this years World Cup.

The new ball, called the “Fevernova” uses a multi layer polyurethane construction. The new ball converts energy transfer evenly at all points and has improved damping properties. It allows more precise calculable flight and controllability.

The Fevernova was tested using Adidas’ robot test leg and international players such as David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane. It has also satisfied all requirements set out by FIFA.
