Dow Win 28 Million Euro Grant for PET Plant

Dow are to receive 28 Million Euro worth of grant aid towards their new polyethylene terephthalate (PET) factory that will be built in Schkopau, Germany next to their existing facility.

The plant will have capacity to produce 175,000 tons per annum of PET and will cost approximately 120 million Euros.

The grant will come from the EC under the framework for regional investment aid for large investment projects, which provides up to 35% of funding for large projects.

The EC, in awarding the grant was satisfied that the PET was still growing.
