Users in the fields of life sciences and materials microscopy can benefit from faster, easier-to-use and intelligent microscope control and image evaluation with the launch of AxioVision 4.7 image analysis software from Carl Zeiss.
AxioVision 4.7 is ideal for capturing, archiving, processing, analysing, reconstructing and evaluating images in digital microscopy. The comprehensive range of specialist modules include the new “Fast MosaiX” module, which can scan large surfaces up to ten times faster than current solutions, and the “Dual Camera” mode, which doubles image acquisition speed by allowing simultaneous image capture from two cameras. The available dynamic range of digital cameras can be expanded with “HDR imaging”, exposure time can be automatically updated with changing brightness levels, while “ASSAYbuilder” performs high content analysis in images captured with AxioVision.
The measurement, segmentation and further processing of 3D objects is enabled by the “3D measurement” module, “Comparative diagrams” serves to assess materials, and the “Physiology” module in combination with “Dual Camera” can be used to perform emission ratio imaging and fast FRET imaging (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer).
AxioVision 4.7 supports the new Axio Examiner microscope and ZEISS’ unique “Definite Focus” function in the LSM 710 and Axio Observer. In addition, the new software totally supports every component of the SteREO microscope series, including the Autofocus module.
Refinements in AxioVision 4.7 also help with reporting with a diagram view for data lists that enables simple preparation of bar and pie charts as well as scatter plots. Reports can also be exported into the Microsoft Word-compatible RTF format.
