Dow Corning to Showcase New Innovation in Silicone Technology for the Pulp and Paper Industries

Dow Corning Corporation, a leading silicone technology provider, will exhibit innovative silicone solutions for the pulp and paper industries at China Paper 2008, Booth 1901.

Dow Corning will feature Dow Corning® AF-7500 PulpAid Concentrate, which offers advanced technology for foam control. Easily diluted, AF-7500 PulpAid Concentrate produces stable, lower solids emulsions and provides outstanding performance in various pulp mills.

In addition to foam control products, the company will launch its new Dow Corning® 8020 Drainage Aid. Designed to enhance drainage in brownstock washing operations, 8020 Drainage Aid improves pulp mill production processes and pulp quality, enhances chemical recovery, lowers bleaching chemical usage, reduces shower water consumption, and lowers chemical oxygen demand (COD) in bleach plant effluent.

Dow Corning representatives will also be on hand to discuss silicone technology for new applications, such as antifoams for papermaking and paper coating, digester aids, stickies control technology, and tissue softeners.

“Dow Corning has significant experience in providing technology innovations to the pulping, tissue manufacturing, and recycling fiber industries globally,” said David Du, Dow Corning’s pulp and paper sales manager for Greater China. “Dow Corning is committed to offering innovative and differentiated process-enabling and performance-enhancing solutions to the paper industry in China, throughout Asia, and to the entire world.”
