Linde to Showcase New Technologies for Improving Welding, Coating and Fabrication Industries

Linde North America will display technologies designed to improve product quality and productivity for the welding, coating and fabrication industries at next month’s FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show.

Linde North America is a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company. The FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show is the largest event in North America dedicated to showcasing a full spectrum of metal forming, fabricating and welding technologies as well as related equipment.

Linde helps customers optimize their processes to increase competitiveness and reduce operating costs. Linde’s offerings include special gas blends, innovative supply solutions, process equipment and applied technology know-how. These technologies can be tailored to the needs of specific sectors such as automotive, transportation, aerospace and medical devices.

“Linde’s understanding of manufacturing processes that require cutting or Joining, coating or cleaning enables us to design and deliver cost-effective solutions to address customers’ most stringent operational requirements,” said Joe Berkmanns, manufacturing segment manager, Linde North America.

Visit booth #14029 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Oct. 6-8, to see Linde’s offerings to the thermal spray industry, including the LINSPRAY™ carbon dioxide based cooling technology for all thermal spray applications, including HVOF, plasma and arc, which reduces the need for cooling breaks and thereby reduces cost and increases productivity. Or explore the new Linde cold spray technology, which allows for the deposition of dense, oxide-free coatings with little heat input and high deposition rates.

Linde will also display its CRYOCLEAN™snow system, designed to clean tools or pre-treat surfaces of parts prior to painting. The system, which uses liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) in combination with compressed air, offers an alternative to conventional CO2 blasting technology, which is often complicated by the production, handling and deterioration of CO2 pellets.

Besides these center-stage products, Linde will showcase the benefits of multi-component and doped shielding gases for metal arc and laser based welding technologies. In laser welding of carbon steel and stainless steel, Linde LASGON™ C and LASGON™ H shielding gases have enabled companies to increase quality and find alternatives to helium. In arc welding, Linde’s premier shielding gases such as MISON® and CRONIGON® Ni address the special needs of both the welder and the material being welded.

In North America, Linde harnesses the power of a national sales and engineering team backed up by a nationwide production and distribution network, including our newest plants in Beloit, Wisconsin and Cartersville, Georgia. “Our own supply network is enhanced by more than 500 distributor locations in the U.S. and 70 retail stores in Canada, making it easier to serve customers with multiple locations,” Berkmanns said.
