Michelman is pleased to announce that Corrugated Chemicals, Inc. has been added as a new Distributor, and will now carry Michelman’s line of branded paper coatings. Corrugated Chemicals is headquartered in Knoxville, TN and will assume sales and distribution responsibilities to corrugators and sheet plants in the Midwest states including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky.
Corrugated Chemicals will stock Michelman coatings at their regional warehouse in Cincinnati and will assume all sales, billing, on-demand distribution and customer service responsibilities for Michelman’s existing paper coating customers in the newly created territory. A sales and service hotline will be maintained directly through Michelman for immediate product information and technical inquiries.
With a wide variety of coating related products and services available to corrugators and sheet plants, Corrugated Chemicals is able to deliver full mixed truck loads of products, reducing overall costs to its customers. The company manages these benefits with a proprietary program called LOADS (Logistics Ordering and Delivery System). Through LOADS, customers are able to order many different but related products with one phone call, reducing paperwork, number of transactions, incoming shipments and freight costs, while optimizing inventory levels.
According to Mr. Brad Fekete, National Manager, at Corrugated Chemicals, “Through this exciting new agreement, coupled with our LOADS program, we’ll be in closer and more regular contact with customers and will be able to best serve their needs, quickly and efficiently. We will also be able to provide Michelman very timely customer feedback, allowing them to focus on continued development of innovative and cost effective coating solutions.”
Simultaneously, Michelman’s inside sales personnel will produce and conduct an on-going series of educational webinars specifically for package designers and the sales teams at the corrugators and sheet plants. These webinars will be based in part on customer feedback gathered by Corrugated Chemicals. The inside sales team will also provide market development support to all customers on as as-needed basis.
