DuPont Wins Quality Supplier Award from Yamaha

Yamaha recently presented DuPont with its “2008 Quality Supplier” award, which recognizes the company’s outstanding quality, cost and delivery of finishes used in the manufacture of Yamaha motorcycles in Brazil.

“This award is a tremendous tribute to our local account team in Brazil, as well as our operations and technical support people,” said Antonio Carlos Oliveira, director of DuPont Automotive Systems in Latin America. “This kind of recognition from a valued customer is a tremendous motivator for us to constantly focus on providing them with the world’s finest coatings.”

Yamaha has been supplying motorcycles to the Brazilian market since 1970. Yahama Motors do Brazil is a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Corporation. Yamaha do Brazil has 2,500 employees and builds about 250,000 motorcycles annually at a manufacturing site in Manaus, Brazil.
