Rhodia Completes Acquisition of Surfactant Manufacturer

Specialty chemical producer Rhodia (Paris:RHA) has completed its acquisition of the McIntyre Group Ltd after receiving regulatory authorizations.

McIntyre is a privately-held manufacturer of specialty surfactants, based near Chicago. This acquisition reinforces Rhodia Novecare’s product range for personal cleansing and extends its offer for hair care, as well as home, institutional and industrial cleaning markets. It drives new opportunities for oilfield production and agrochemicals applications and allows further business developments in fast-growing markets such as Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
