DuPont Holographic Label Helps Prevent Fraud

The DuPont Izon holographic security label from DuPont Authentication is helping Xi’an Lijun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Lijun) -- a leading provider of high-quality traditional Chinese medicines, bulk drugs and health care products -- secure its brands and regain customer confidence in its products.

For several years, Lijun implemented numerous authentication devices to protect its Lijunsha® tradename and eliminate counterfeits from the market. Each security measure, including digital coding, watermarking and embossed holograms, was quickly compromised and counterfeit products appeared. Lijun adopted the DuPont™ Izon® security label and the unique, three-dimensional hologram provided easy-to-identify security features so customers can readily distinguish between genuine and counterfeit Lijunsha®.

“Counterfeiting is a USD 800 billion illegal enterprise impacting companies and governments worldwide,” said John Dowd, global sales director, DuPont Authentication. “We work closely with customers to help them meet their financial goals by protecting their brand and thereby minimizing the negative impact of lost revenue, brand value erosion, and litigation costs associated with counterfeits. We are extremely pleased with the positive results at Lijun.”

“Our customers are confident that they are buying genuine products when they see the Izon® label,” said Cun An Wang, Lijunsha® sourcing manager. “DuPont Izon® not only provided high-tech security features, but also strengthened our product image in the market.”
