The leading resource for reliable alloy phase diagrams now offers access to more than 30,000 authoritative diagrams, available both as a complete collection and as individual diagrams.
The latest update to the ASM Alloy Phase Diagram Center at www.asminternational.org/materialsinfo adds 1,500 new phase diagrams, including 20 aluminum-titanium binaries and 350 aluminum ternaries. New ternary phase diagrams for the "Industrial and Heat Resistant" category (including iron, nickel, cobalt, chromium, niobium and manganese) and the "Solder, Brazes and Copper Alloys" category (including lead, bismuth, silver, gold, antimony, indium, gallium, cadmium, zinc, copper and tin) have also been added.
Alloy phase diagrams serve as technical roadmaps that tell an engineer how a particular metal or combination of metals will behave under specific conditions such as temperature, pressure and composition. "Having access to reliable and peer-reviewed phase diagrams is critical to the selection and application of metals and alloys," said Mary Anne Fleming, senior product developer for Technical Journals and APD Publications. "They are the cornerstone of materials technology."
The ASM Alloy Phase Diagrams Center allows subscribers to explore, search and view binary and ternary phase diagrams and associated phase data from their Web browsers.
