Atrium Companies, Inc., manufacturer of Atrium Windows and Doors-branded products, announced today the launch of its first vinyl window line designed for the Florida market: the 4500 Series Florida Vinyl Window line.
The series is available for both new construction and replacement applications, and has been developed to meet the needs of builders and homeowners in Florida.
"Atrium recognizes the differences in building techniques between regions, and identified Florida's need for a window product that is adaptable to the use of mixed building materials within one project," said Robert Ractliffe, eastern region president. "We have created the 4500 Series Florida Vinyl Window line to address and support the Florida market's unique needs, and continue as a leading provider of windows and doors."

The series' versatile configurations enable convenient installation in both concrete block and wood framing wall construction. Frame configurations may be customized, with choices including the use of nail fins, the use of a front flange, a combination of both nail fins and a front flange, and an in-block frame.
Window styles include single-hung with tilt sash, horizontal slider, picture window and specialty shapes, and are available in a white frame color.
The window frame depth is 2-15/16" and offers a ¾" thick dual-glazed insulated glass utilizing warm edge spacer technology.
For customers concerned with energy efficiency, hurricane resistance or increased style options, the vinyl window series provides the option of low-e glass, tinted "turtle" glass and decorative grids in any of its products.
All windows in this series meet a DP-50 design pressure rating, which is ideal for numerous exposure applications that call for this performance level.
332 Series Florida Vinyl Sliding Patio Door
In order to supply Florida with a complete range of vinyl replacement products for the home, Atrium also offers the 332 Series Florida Vinyl Sliding Patio Door. The doors possess the same style and versatility as the window line, with nearly identical performance capabilities. Doors up to 72" by 96" achieve a DP-50 rating. The complete vinyl window and patio door offering are both backed by Atrium's limited lifetime warranty, covering materials and labor.
"In Florida, many homes are built using concrete block construction, as well as in combination with block and wood framing," said Bo Venerdi, vice president Florida sales. "It's our job to provide the Florida market with new construction and replacement windows and patio doors that are adaptable and provide the contractor the versatility to use the installation techniques he prefers."
