Tata Steel International and Corus Tubes joined forces at the world's largest offshore resources industry event, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), held May 4-7 at the Reliant Park in Houston.
With the theme, "intelligent steel solutions", the two businesses once again showcased their strong product range and service offering to the offshore and energy sectors with an eye-catching stand that provided a unique focal point throughout the week.
The exhibition stand featured four massive rings accompanied with product exhibits of Corus' pipes and sections with screens showing presentations about Corus' proven capability in the offshore environment.
This year's exhibition was the second largest in the OTC's 40-year history, with many major players in the energy industry present. More than 557,000 square feet of exhibition space was filled with 2,500 exhibitors from 38 countries and attendance at this year's OTC reached 67,721 strong despite the global economic recession.
Much of the time around the event was spent discussing new as well as existing contract opportunities with the many customers who were present.
TSI's Senior Sales Manager, John Zywica commented, "The meetings have been excellent for both TSI and the Tubes Business. We received a number of leads and have commenced relationships with several new potential customers as a result."
