mPhase Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: XDSL.OB) today announced that it has completed the first fully functional prototype of its AlwaysReady Emergency Flashlight. A world renowned automobile design firm created a sleek design to accompany the flashlight's unparalleled functionality. The new illuminator features mPhase's first reserve battery which allows for back up power to be always ready through a simple activation method.
mPhase previously showcased a model of the flashlight to members of Congress at the NanoBusiness Alliance Public Policy Tour in March, but the company now has a full, working prototype that includes the mPhase Lithium Reserve Battery. This product marks the first introduction of mPhase's unique battery technology. The mPhase Lithium Reserve Battery is designed to have a shelf life of over 20 years prior to activation so it serves as a reliable back up power source for the flashlight. Upon manually activating the reserve battery, it will immediately supply power to the flashlight for up to four hours of continuous light.
"This is not your run of the mill flashlight," said mPhase CEO Ron Durando. "This flashlight is a work of art and a perfect product to showcase the functionality and value of our reserve battery. I believe we have an exceptional product that will appeal to high end technology consumers worldwide."
Additional features of the flashlight along with photographs of the flashlight will be released closer to the expected product launch date. "We have a truly unique product with features that have never before been seen on a flashlight. Through working with our marketing team, we have developed a worldwide product launch strategy for the product and, as part of that strategy, we have decided to hold back these features and photos until just prior to the flashlight becoming available for purchase," said Durando.
