On 17 September 2009, Arburg received a "Ringier Technology Innovation Award 2009 for Plastics Industry" for its new high-performance Allrounder H (Hidrive) hybrid machine. The award ceremony took place in the context of the 4th Plastics Technology Applications in Consumer Electronic Products Conference in Guangzhou.
Since 2005, the Ringier Award has been presented in various categories to companies who have excelled on account of special product developments and technical innovation achievements within the Chinese market. During this year's ceremony, a total of 33 innovative technologies were presented with awards.
In the plastic injection moulding machine category, Arburg made it onto the winners' podium. For its newly engineered, high-performance Allrounder H (Hidrive) hybrid machine, the machine construction company received this year's Ringier Award in the hybrid machine category. Important evaluation criteria for the 11-member independent panel of judges were the high-performance of the innovative Allrounder H product. The decisive evaluation criteria were increased productivity, improved price/performance ratio, compatibility with existing production processes, flexibility in achieving a variety of production results, user-friendliness and maintenance, as well as a high degree of energy efficiency.
Arburg sales consultant Kaymond Chow accepted the award from the hands of panel member Chen Xinjie, General Secretary of the Shantou Plastic Commerce Committee. In front of around sixty guests, he expressed his thanks on behalf of Arburg and its subsidiary in Shanghai: "We are extremely proud to have received the award for the high-performance hybrid Allrounder H machine," he said. During his short speech, he emphasised Arburg's commitment to being present on all the global plastics markets and to thereby be regarded as an innovation leader.
The Allrounder H stands for maximum productivity and energy efficiency
According to Kaymond Chow, this has been achieved with great success with the market introduction of the Hidrive machine series, as it combines the best from the ARBURG modular component system to produce a high-performance machine concept. The hybrid Allrounder H machines combine the servo-electric clamping unit of the Allrounder A (Alldrive) and the hydraulic injection unit of the Allrounder S with hydraulic accumulator technology and servo-electric dosage to form a powerful machine series for optimised cycle times. The Hidrive machines are characterised by maximum production performance and reduced energy consumption at a highly attractive price/performance ratio. They therefore lend themselves perfectly to the production of components for a variety of industries.
