St Andrews Goldfields Announces First Gold Pour

St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. is pleased to announce the "First Gold Pour" at its Stock Gold Mill near Timmins, Ontario occurred on Friday September 17th, 2004.

Milling operations commenced on September 1, 2004 at the newly refurbished and upgraded Stock Gold Mill located near Timmins, Ontario.

Underground ore from the Stock Mine and the Clavos Advanced Exploration Project have been treated continuously since that date. The final stage in the commissioning of the Gold Mill was the pouring of the first gold bar.

At a ceremony held on Friday September 17th, 2004 and attended by local Timmins and Matheson dignitaries, Federal and Provincial regulators, local media, television and radio representatives and St Andrew corporate personnel, the ceremonial "First Gold Pour" took place.

For the remainder of the 3rd Quarter and the first part of October 2004, it is planned that the underground ore from the Clavos Advanced Exploration Project (20,000 tonnes) and ore from the Stock Mine (5,000 tonnes) will be treated as a series of continuous bulk samples to test the metallurgical characteristics of these two mineralized deposits.

Development and Mining Plans at the Stock Gold Complex

The proposed production development at the Clavos Project and the Stock Mine is planned to commence in the 4th quarter 2004 in conjunction with the forecast buildup in production to 1,000 tonnes per day, subject to adequate reserves and resources being confirmed by the underground drilling programs as part of the advanced exploration projects, and sufficient metallurgical recoveries being achieved from the bulk sample tests to justify mining these deposits.
