TMK Complete Shipments of Pipes to the Karachaganak-Uralsk Pipeline

TMK (LSE:TMKS), one of the world's leading manufacturers of pipe products for the oil and gas industry, today announces that it completed pipe shipments to the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) international consortium for the construction of the Karachaganak-Uralsk pipeline.

Under the terms of the agreement, TMK supplied 6,000 tonnes of 273 mm seamless line pipe with wall thickness of 7.09 mm, 250 tonnes of 219 mm ERW line pipe with wall thickness of 6.35 mm and 1,920 tonnes of 1016 mm LSAW with wall thickness of 9.5 mm. The pipes were manufactured at Volzhsky and TMK-CPW to API 5L specification in X52 grade and supplied with three layer polyethylene coating.

The 150-km-long Karachaganak-Uralsk pipeline supplies natural gas from the Karachaganak field, Kazakhstan's largest gas field, to the Uralsk region.
