Reverte has been selected as the oxo-biodegradable additive of choice for Dubai Duty Free, one of the largest Duty Free retailers in the world.
Following on from a number of high profile users in the UAE, Reverte can now be found in bags offered by one of the busiest duty free organisations in the world.
Anne Smith, Manager - Corporate Responsibility of Dubai Duty Free, took the decision to convert all the DDF bags to Reverte oxo-biodegradable as part of their 'green responsibility' earlier this month.
On hearing the confirmation of the business John James, Export Manager of Wells Plastics explained that this had been the result of a long term approach to the marketplace on behalf of Wells Plastics and Excel International, Wells appointed distributor based in Dubai. Wells Plastics has taken a lead role in this region developing applications and awareness to the benefits of oxo-biodegradable technology and assisting in the development of UAE legislation concerning plastic bags.
DDF making this step demonstrates both the commitment of responsible companies in the UAE to take the issue of plastic waste seriously and how corporate responsibility is becoming a more and more important arm of these companies.
The Reverte brand has gained momentum over the past few years as its superior advanced technology and control mechanism lends itself to the many demanding applications as well as the more mainstream in the polymer processing arena.
The technical support behind Reverte from the purpose equipped laboratories at Wells Plastics, plus the wide range of other technical masterbatches such as Bactiglas antimicrobials available all from a single source has made the selection of Reverte as the chosen oxo-biodegradable solution easier for many customers.
