DuPont Protection Technologies launched a new DuPont Nomex KD nonwoven filter material at a recent Bag Filter Exhibition in Shanghai, China. Especially beneficial for hot gas industries, the new filter material is based on innovative technology that blends DuPont Nomex and Kevlar fibers.
This new technology improves filtration performance, dust retention and efficiency by increasing the surface area of filter media. Hot gas industries such as asphalt and cement manufacturers need efficient and effective filtration solutions for high temperature applications. The Bag Filter Exhibition provided an opportunity for DuPont to reach potential customers, promote the new offering and increase the company's exposure in Asian markets.
The exhibition booth featured green accents, supporting the message to manufacturers that Nomex KD can help them meet stringent national and local air standards. The DuPont team at the exhibition reported that many visitors showed significant interest in the new product. In addition to its improved filtration performance, Nomex KD has the potential to reduce costs and increase reliability.
During the exhibition, Qiqi Wang, applications researcher for Performance Materials - Asia Pacific, and Jason Zhu, sales representative for Performance Materials - China, presented a paper on the technology and merits of Nomex KD for the filter bag industry at the Technical Conference. Many conference participants expressed interest in the product and appreciation to DuPont for introducing Nomex KD to industries in China.
DuPont Nomex has been widely regarded as a material of choice for its reliability and excellent filtration performance in elevated temperature applications in hot gas industries for more than 40 years. For more information about Nomex KD, click here.
