Arkema will showcase its specialty resin and organic peroxide ranges for electric and electronic cabling at the Düsseldorf Wire & Tube international tradeshow from April 12 to 16.
Arkema offers a comprehensive range of functional polyolefins (trademarked Orevac®, Lotryl®, Lotader® and Evatane®) for the manufacture of all types of cables for any end-applications: halogen-free fire-retardant cables meeting the latest fire standards for construction, automotive and telephone networks, medium- and high-voltage cables, telephone cables, and photovoltaic cables. These resins also provide outstanding processing characteristics and mechanical properties (oil, abrasion and break resistance). Furthermore, carbon black can be incorporated into Evatane® and Lotryl® copolymers for use as semi-conductor screens.
Arkema will also showcase its new Orevac® grade specifically developed for the coating of pipelines (Oil & Gas) featuring outstanding adhesive performance at low to very high temperatures. This adhesive is offered in combination with Total Petrochemicals’ Top Coat® 4206B bi-modal polyethylene grade. The market has now adopted this latest grade as one of the new references in pipeline coating.
Finally, Arkema will also present its unique range of Luperox® organic peroxides which includes specific Luperox® grades for the crosslinking of functional polyolefins and all other polymers (LDPE, EPDM) used in the manufacture of medium-, high- and ultra-high-voltage cables and in materials for circuit assembly. These grades are renowned for their high purity and their extensive performance range fulfilling every technical requirement.
Every sector of activity today requires increasingly sophisticated cables and pipes, an ever-growing trend. Cable and pipe manufacturers therefore are constantly faced with new production constraints, as well as new safety and durability/sturdiness standards. The « Wire & Tube » tradeshow will provide an up-to-date review of current and future concepts and technologies.
