StreamServe, Inc., a leading provider of business communication solutions for document efficiency and customer experience management, today announced that SSAB, a global leader in the production of high strength steel, has expanded its use of StreamServe’s business communication solutions across its entire organization, as well as in its two subsidiaries in Sweden.
SSAB employs 9,200 people in over 45 countries around the world and operates production facilities in Sweden and the US. The Group’s steel operations consist of three business areas: SSAB EMEA, SSAB Americas and SSAB APAC.
SSAB sends and receives approximately 1.5 million pieces of correspondence annually. Over the past 10 years, StreamServe has enabled the SSAB Strip Products division to pull data from its legacy systems to automate its document production and distribution to its customers via fax, EDI and email. These documents include invoices, order acknowledgements, delivery notes, order receipts, shipping instructions, materials testing certificates, etc. In addition, SSAB Strip Products is using StreamServe for EU-invoicing, as well as for archiving all of its business documents in PDF format.
“Based on the tremendous success and cost-savings achieved through our use of StreamServe in SSAB’s Strip Products division, as well as the need to consolidate under one common solution, we chose to expand our use of our solutions throughout the entire SSAB Group,” said Erik Leppänen, Head of IT EMEA, SSAB. “StreamServe has enabled us to completely automate the process of generating and distributing invoices and other business communications to our customers. This has saved us a tremendous amount of time and money, while improving the experience our customers have when reading our correspondence.”
“SSAB is yet another example of businesses worldwide that are deploying and expanding their use of StreamServe’s business communication solutions to simplify the way in which they compose, manage and deliver highly-personalized documents, regardless of whether they are delivered on paper or by electronic means,” said Dennis Ladd, president and CEO of StreamServe. “We are pleased that SSAB has expanded their use of StreamServe’s solutions, and believe that this expansion demonstrates the value that they have received by using our solutions early on.”
A rapidly growing number of global businesses are recognizing the measurable return on investment they can achieve through StreamServe’s solutions. By leveraging existing ERP, CRM and content management infrastructure that already exists within the enterprise, StreamServe’s solutions offer businesses an easy way to improve customer communications through the delivery of highly-personalized documents and invoices in either paper or electronic format. In addition, businesses are finding our solutions reduce resources, such as paper, ink and electricity – enabling them to make their operations more sustainable to our environment and more attractive to their business prospects.
