Datacolor®, a global leader in color management solutions, announced today that in conjunction with the kick-off of the 2010 ITMA Asia conference, it has formed two strategic partnerships designed to provide customers with unmatched industry expertise and color management services, while also introducing innovative products that will establish new benchmarks of accuracy and reliability for the international textile community.
The new partnerships include collaborations with industry leaders SETEX schermuly textile computers GmbH and Color Solutions International (CSI). Datacolor and SETEX will partner in the development of integration tools that will streamline production workflow from lab to bulk by creating a plug-in solution that allows recipes created in the lab to be accurately and rapidly transferred into production. Their latest partnership with CSI effectively integrates Datacolor’s TOOLS™ software solution with CSI’s ColorWall™, a searchable database of 4,000 colors. This unique collaboration will yield outstanding accuracy for designers developing seasonal color pallets, and will eventually lead to future value-added solutions.
Datacolor has also introduced several new products for textile manufacturers and apparel mills that offer customers the latest in color management software and devices, including TOOLS 2.0™, Guardian and Ahiba™ IR Pro which is being officially introduced for the first time at ITMA. TOOLS 2.0 is a next generation color quality control software designed to quickly and easily create color measurement files and establish pass/fail criteria, while Guardian conducts periodic diagnostic instrument testing through a process of measuring reference grade High Chroma Tiles. Their latest release comes in the form of the new Ahiba IR Pro, a world-class laboratory dyer with a new mechanical design featuring water-cooling to offer superior temperature control and unmatched accuracy. Using water to cool the dyebath rather than forced air, Ahiba IR Pro raises the level of accuracy and repeatability for textiles manufacturers while simultaneously lowering the unit’s environmental impact.
“It is fitting that with the launch of the 2010 ITMA Asia conference Datacolor is announcing a portfolio of new strategic partnerships and exciting product introductions, all of which share common goals: color management consistency from inspiration to production and continued investment in our worldwide operations,” said Brian Levey, Vice President, Industrial Business Unit, Datacolor. “For over 40 years, leading textile brands and suppliers have relied on Datacolor as a partner through every step of the color manufacturing process. Our partnerships with SETEX and CSI and new product innovations announced here at ITMA demonstrate our on-going commitment to provide exceptional service to our customers.”
