Another Stork Materials Technology Location to Become Nadcap Approved

Stork Materials Technology is proud to announce another U.S. location is in process of acquiring Nadcap approvals for testing and inspection. Following successful audits scheduled for August 16, Stork Twin City Testing of St. Paul, Minnesota, aspires to be the 7th independent Stork laboratory to achieve Nadcap approvals, the most recent being Stork Climax Research Services in Wixom, Michigan.

What is Nadcap?

Nadcap (formerly NADCAP, the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is a global cooperative standards-setting program for aerospace engineering, defense and related industries. According to the Performance Review Institute, Nadcap is "the leading worldwide cooperative program of major companies designed to manage a cost-effective consensus approach to special processes and products and provide continuous improvement within the aerospace and automotive industries." Nadcap accreditation allows Stork TCT to provide specialized testing programs to aerospace and defense industries and help them to evaluate their components, forgings, castings, fasteners, valves, and base materials.
Adding capabilities to the Minnesota market

Stork TCT Materials Testing Department Manager Rick Gerads said, "By seeking Nadcap approvals for our nondestructive methods, we're responding to demand from our customers in aerospace, automotive, casting, forging, welding, and even medical device manufacturing. We have heard their requests for the high-level quality support that Nadcap services can offer and we are excited to begin the process of re-engineering our processes to meet the stringent requirements. We have been working with our national Quality and Nondestructive Testing experts and feel confident about the outcome of our August audit. We look forward to being able to provide these critical services to our customers by fall of 2010."
