PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) and C.R. Laurence Co. have announced a joint marketing initiative enabling architects to specify premium C.R. Laurence glass entrance and door hardware through members of the PPG Certified Fabricator Network (PPG/CFP). In return, C.R. Laurence will showcase Starphire ultra-clear glass by PPG in premium, door and handrail displays at architectural shows and in company showrooms.
Paul Daniels, C.R. Laurence vice president of sales, said the alliance is a natural fit. "Our companies target many of the same customers, who often purchase or specify our products together," he said. "We see this as a good way to strengthen our relationship with PPG and to create additional business for both companies."
Chuck McMullen, national architectural manager, PPG performance glazings, said the goal for both organizations is to support specification of each other's products. "This is a great way for PPG certified fabricators to expand their product offerings and to supply customers with products from C.R. Laurence that they already know and value."
In addition to marketing and selling each other's products, PPG and C.R. Laurence will share testing and training opportunities. C.R. Laurence also will promote Starphire glass on its new line of Taper-Loc Dry Glaze glass handrails and on Blumcraft Heavy Glass Systems.
