Dow Corning Corp. was recently recognized as a leader in the chemical industry during the 8th annual Stevie® Awards.
The XIAMETER® brand of Dow Corning was presenth2d with a popular Stevie Award, receiving recognition for the integrated advertising program’s print and online banner ads, website, interactive tour and print brochures. More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the Finalists and Stevie Award winners.
The award is a direct result of the collaborative efforts of the Dow Corning marketing team and agency, Slack Barshinger & Partners. The award is granted to recognize and generate public awareness of excellence and outstanding performance in the workplace.
“This is a nice recognition of our first anniversary of the two-brand launch. Also, having the work of our integrated communications teams recognized in a prominent national marketing communications competition is a real thrill,” said Brian Chermside, Dow Corning chief marketing officer.
Dow Corning was also recognized as a finalist for a dual-brand employee launch video in the Internal/Employee Communications category. The piece, which supported the launch of the revamped Dow Corning® and XIAMETER brand offerings in 2009, helps to generate excitement and awareness among the 10,000-person global workforce, and covers details about the brand transformation for employee understanding.
Other XIAMETER brand submissions were also recognized as finalists in the Stevie Awards competition.
