Amazing Magnets, LLC (www.AmazingMagnets.com), a leader in providing rare earth magnets to manufactures, has announced it has partnered with GrowShow, Inc. to become the supplier of magnets for their innovative visual presentation and framing products.
Amazing Magnets® was established in 2002 as an internet retailer of specialty magnets and has grown to a major wholesaler to some of America’s largest manufacturers.
Amazing Magnets® concentrates primarily on NdFeB magnets, and has the capabilities to produce custom magnets in SmCo, AlNiCo, Ferrite, and rubberized magnet materials to the US and most international markets.
In early 2009, GrowShow Inc. originally selected Amazing Magnets as their supplier of Rare Earth Magnets in an effort to speed up development of their new framing product. Amazing Magnets was able to deliver product immediately based on their extensive stock of available materials. When prototyping was completed, GrowShow switched to purchasing magnets directly from China. Due to long product lead times, and unpredictable results from overseas suppliers, GrowShow announces that it is much easier and more economical to work directly with Irvine-based Amazing Magnets.
Trevor Elliott, Founder of GrowShow Inc. and inventor of the GrowFrame, says, “Working with Amazing Magnets has been essential for our company. Their customer service is top notch, but most importantly, they have allowed us to cost-effectively replace China as our source for NdFeB material. This has resulted in a profound increase in manufacturing flexibility, less need to worry about the accuracy of predicting demand, and our general avoidance of the timeframe headaches we had been experiencing by sourcing direct from China. When we first approached Amazing Magnets, we had assumed that sourcing locally could never be a cost-effective replacement to China. We are very happy this assumption was wrong.”
Tim Boettcher, President of Amazing Magnets, states, “We are happy to work with GrowShow, and look forward to continuing to smooth out their bumps in the road – that is what we do best. Purchasing from China, especially due to the excessive weight of Rare Earth Magnets, makes Just-in-time delivery a real challenge.”
